I've had a long, long layoff from the hobby. To some extent I just burned out and lost interest and I've also had health issues to deal with that didn't help. Right now I'm due for a hip replacement in about three weeks time and that may make it hard to access the loft for a while, so this is an attempt to work my way back in. The layout is in uproar as half of it had to be stripped down due to backdrop issues and that didn't help much either so motivation to re-do (which I detest doing) is hard to find!
The catalyst for starting up again was the purchase of an old Anvil Mountain Models kit of a saloon and bordello that was in Silverton where we have been lucky enough to visit. I bought it on the 'bay and my friend Neal Multz kindly shipped it over. My next post will detail my progress with that build.
